The DOT collection reinterprets the traditional Asian stool in a contemporary design with clean, minimalist lines. Each piece is finished with hand-applied traditional lacquer, requiring 18 to 21 layers, sanded between each application to achieve unparalleled depth and intensity.
In this white eggshell version, fragments of duck eggshell are meticulously hand-placed like a mosaic onto a fresh lacquer layer. This artisanal process creates a subtle yet spectacular crackled effect. After sanding, the fragments are embedded in a final transparent lacquer layer, enhancing the finesse of the design.
